Under Armour is moving into the Big Apple.

The Baltimore sportswear company will open a brand house in New York's SoHo neighborhood in the spring of 2014.

The Lower Manhattan store will be slightly larger than Under Armour's (NYSE: UA) 8,000-square-foot brand house in Harbor East, said Brad Dickerson, the company's chief financial officer.

"It will enable us to bring a local Under Armour story to New York and millions of tourists that make their way there as well," Under Armour CEO Kevin Plank said on a conference call with investors Thursday.
