Home to Whole Foods, Ben Lovell Shoes, Taco Fiesta, and many other restaurants and retail stores, as well as offices, 1001 Fleet Street is a 10-story, leading-edge building located in vibrant Harbor East. The façade of the building varies from the sleek, steel frames supporting accent-tinted windows on the office portion to the more classic red brick façade on the opposite corner of the building. The design was crafted by Beatty Harvey Fillat Architects and the structure was built by Armada Hoffler Construction Company. A distinct curved canopy overhang extends from the building above the entrance to Whole Foods, creating the illusion of a wave on the Bay. 1001 Fleet also houses a 207-room Courtyard by Marriott and the offices of Laureate Education and Fidelity & Guaranty Life. The 227,295 square foot structure was finished in December 2000.
